Consultation calls
I offer a free 20-minute phone or video consultation prior to scheduling. This provides an opportunity for us to talk briefly about your therapy goals and also to help us determine if I am a good fit for your needs. I will do my best to schedule the consultation at a time that is convenient for you.
Scheduling
Currently, I only have weekday evenings and Sunday afternoon appointments available.
I am generally able to get new clients in for their first appointment within a week or two.
Minor clients of Divorced Parents
In the case of a minor (under 18) with divorced/separated parents, I require a copy of the current custody order prior to the first session. An electronic copy of this can be uploaded securely when signing consent forms. In cases where there is joint legal custody, I require the written consent of both parents in order to have our first session. In general, I prefer to have the consent of both parents regardless of the custody arrangement.
Cancellation Policy
It is important that you regularly attend your scheduled appointments. When there are missed sessions, it can cause a lapse in our work which may result in delayed progress. I understand that there may be extenuating circumstances and I can certainly make exceptions for them, but please understand that your appointment time is reserved for you and our work together. For these reasons, I request 24 hours notice for cancelled appointments in order to avoid a cancellation fee. Any no-show or cancellation with less than 24-hours notice will be charged the full session fee. As available, sessions rescheduled for the same calendar week will not result in a fee.
Online sessions
All sessions will be conducted online using a secure, confidential platform that is HIPAA-compliant. This is to protect the health of the community – including you, your family, and me.
Therapy sessions
I am licensed to practice therapy in the State of Florida. I can only see Florida residents for therapy.
